Lab #2
So at the river, we split into about four groups. Some people had a tennis ball and were measuring the currents. Others had a big...um, thingy and were measuring the elevation across the river. Others had a sifter and were looking for clams, and then some more people were just kinda looking around at the stuff in the river/the people riding a log downstream. It was a good exercise to learn about the river life and how the elevation and currents may or may not affect them.

Lab #3
Chrysanthemums are of the genus of the same name and are native to Asia and northeastern Europe.
Angel's trumpet is a nickname for the genus Brugmansia, native to subtropical regions of South America. Is a hallucinogen, but you probably shouldn't try it out.
Pot marigold is part of the genus Calendula and is native to southern Europe.
A cherry blossom is the flower from any tree of the genus Prunus. Another common name us "sakura", the Japanese name. It's also their national flower and if you watch anime you'll see them in every single opening/ending sequence ever.
Hickory trees are from the genus Carya and everyone has heard of it because of the nursery rhyme "Hickory Dickory Dock".

Polar Bears!
This, obviously, is a polar bear. It lives in the Arctic Circle encompassing the Arctic Ocean, its surrounding seas and surrounding land masses. It is the world's largest land carnivore and also the largest bear, together with the omnivorous Kodiak Bear, which is pretty much the same size.
